Serafina Chinigo is my grandmother. She married my grandfather, Alfonso Strianese on Feb. 17, 1895 in Manhattan. My research is two fold. 1. When and where was the family name changed from Strianese to Straten and 2. when did my grandmother arrive in th
e U.S.A. and where did she come from in Italy Possibly San Giorgio Albanese .
