I have been searching for the parents and family of Philip Chapman, born in London, England. His father was a merchant there, and upon his death his property was seized by the government, leaving his sons destitute. Young Philip went to Ireland, then to
America. He settled in Bucks Co., PA, and was the father of James, born November 2, 1747, another son Benjamin and two or three daughters. I have data on the descendants of James Chapman.
