Research Interest: I am researching a friends lost birth mother. My friend was born Charlotte Sue Chaisson on March 18, 1944 in Port Arthur Texas to Enola Chaisson who gave her up for adoption. Charlotte's adoptive parents have now passed on and she would like to find he r blood relatives. Her real mother's name was listed on papers as Enola but we have no other information, ie, age, etc. We assume she might have been pretty young, in her teens and unwed One interesting item was that the Criminal District Court in B eaumont Texas handled the adoption proceedings. The case is 10629-C and we had to obtain a special hearing with the Judge to obtain those documents. They gave us no information other than Enola Chaisson listed as birth mother. It is possible Enola was incarcerated when she gave birth. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you
