Research Interest: I am seeking info on my g-g-g grandfather, Thomas CARROLL, an early pioneer settler of Gwinnett County, Georgia, and first appearing in the census of Gwinnett County, GA in 1820. His wife was Rhoda Blake. The couple had the following children: James C. C ARROLL, William Augustus CARROLL, John CARROLL, Thomas CARROLL, Mary CARROLL, Sarah Frances CARROLL, Seny CARROLL, and Rhoda CARROLL. In Sarah Frances Carroll's obituary (my g-g grandmother) it was stated that her g-g grandfather signed the Declaration o f Independence. The only Carroll to sign this document was Charles Carroll of Carrollton, MD. Nevertheless, I have been unable to locate the parents of Thomas Carroll and so on so that I can establish a definitive link between my family and Charles Carro ll of Carrollton, MD.
