Research Interest: I'm trying to connect my ggf Byron Carney, of Kalamazoo County, MI to his father, Silas, and the 12 other children. Silas's father, John, left Watertown, NY in 1830 for MI. John b. 10/24/1787, d. 3/28/1871. No other info but that his father, Samuel came from N. IRL, d. 3/1/1818. We don't know where the Carneys lived before MI, who they married or where the children were born. Fires destroyed family records and no oral history exists.
