Research Interest: I have traced the Camuñas family from Puerto Rico to Daimiel, Spain, in the province of Ciudad Real. Family members come from both parishes of Sta Maria, and San Pedro in Daimiel. Have many members of this family in Puerto Rico and am searching for mor e in PR, US, Mexico, and Spain. Information about Manuel Camuñas who came from Spain to PR is of great interest. He was a sargeant in the Regimiento Fijo de PR. Was supposed to travel to Mexico in 1810, but stayed in PR Mexican War of independence st arted that year . Looking also for info on Grandfather, Manuel Camuñas-Crauz. or anyone with CRAUZ name. He had important posts in PR government 1898-to 1927, when he died.
