Research Interest: May Campbell was the 2nd wife of my g grandfather Duncan H.Campbell. He left his 1st wife and 5 children about 1925. The only name we ever knew was May. The ran a cafe and boarding house near the railyards on Rusk Ave. My g grandfather was a very colorfu l guy. His leg was bitten off by an alligator on a fishing trip to the bayou. He lived and had the gator killed and made into a rudimentary artificial leg and boot. We still have those. He died in 1929 and his wife shipped his body by rail to his prior family. We have always wondered if he and May had children and who her family etc were. We may have other relatives.
