Research Interest: There is a marriage record for Allan Bybee to Polly Riley in October 1818 in Corydon, In. In the 1820 census for Harrison county, Perry, In. there is an Allen Byba, who could possibly be the Allan Bybee of the 1818 marriage. The marriage record ind icates Allen's birth year as 1793 and Polly's as 1797. There is also an Albin Bybee in the 1840 census for Corydon, Hrrison county, Indiana. Allen, Albin, Allan does not appear in any census after 1840. However in the 1850 census for Corydon, Harr ison County, In. there is a Mary A. Bibee as head of household along with a number of young people that I expect are her children. One of the children is Wm Bibee who is 17 making him born circa 1833. Mary is 53 at this time, which would make her born circa 1850. It is my understanding that the name Polly and Mary were used interchangeably. My great grandfather was Wm. Biby, Bibee, Bybee, etc. I feel that the Wm. living with Mary in the 1850 census is my great grandfather and Allen Byba, Bybee of the 1818 marriage, 1820 and 1840 census is Wm.'s father. But I have been unable to connect Allen to his parents. If there is any information available for Allen and/or Polly Mary I would very much like to get a copy of same. Could she now be a widow and Allen is dead
