Research Interest: My great-great grandfather, Gustaf Andersson Brattlund was born about 1821 in Sweden. He married my gg-grandmother Lena Jacobsdotter on 16 Nov. 1851, in Filipstad, Varmland, Sweden. He may have been previously married to Brita Maria Olsdotter. He an d Lena emigrated from Gothenbourg to the USA in June, 1871, with several of their children. They first went to Clinton Junction, Wisconsin, and later settled in Bancroft, Kossuth Co., Iowa where Gustaf is buried. He died 19 Dec. 1893. Gustaf and Lena' s son Johan John Brattlund later Brottlund is my great-grandfather who married Gustava Mathilda Henry and settled in Ironwood, Michigan. Any information you can give me on Gustaf, his parents, and siblings will be much appreciated. Thank you Myrna Noyes
