Research Interest: Searching for history of LEAH BRASHER born 1807 in Maryland, US and her brother Wm.T.Brasher, a government surveyor born 10 Feb 1797.One local record shows he was born in New York City, and other record indicate he was born in Maryland. No other data on either on their birth as to city or county. They came to Rock Island, IL in 1828. No records if her ever being married. He married and resided here until his death in 1850. Fought in the Indian Wars. Was a land and ferry owner. Charter member of an Episcopal Methodist Church I have records of his many descendants. I'm trying to trace Leah & Wm's parents, brothers and sisters, if any, their ancestors and emigration records.
