Research Interest: Joseph Braley was born in NC circa 1800; an 1880 Texas US Census shows that his father was born in Ireland and his mother in NC. I am aware of a large, well-documented family in NC--variously spelled Brawley, Braly, Braley, Brally, Brailey. Joseph ar rived in Texas circa 1870 with at least two sons and their families. I would like connect Joseph with his parents and siblings and perhaps the Brawleys of NC. The oldest son was documented in a school in Muscogee County, GA, in 1837. There's a marriage certificate of Joseph to Nancy Baggett in 1829. There's an 1870 AL Census with Joseph and relatives in Russell County, AL Thank you for any info you may have.
