Thomas Bowen was born to a Harriet Addington Bowen (her
father was J. W. Addington)She was widowed at the end of the
Civil War. I believe her husband's name was James M. Bowen
and she received a pension, but I'm not totally sure this
is correct. Thomas was married to a Leona Viola Bynum and I
have been told that he (Thomas) died in an accident in a
rock quarry during December of 1900. I cannot find any
records to substantiate this. I also cannot find where he
was born nor if James M. Bowen was his father or where the
Bowens were before coming to Randolph County then Blount
County in Alabama.
