Research Interest: We know that John Bowen lived in Va. in 1800 because his daughter Mary was born in Feb. of that year in VA. However, they were in Franklin Co., Tenn. before 1812 because John Bowen was on the Tax List of Franklin Co., Tenn. for that year and is shown as a neighbor of Larkin Bethell. Mary married Bluford Bethell, Larkin's youngest brother in Franklin Co., Tenn. However, have not been able to find marriage records nor the date of the marriage but we do know that it was around 1820. Their older childre n were born in Franklin Co., Tenn and the rest were born in Warrick Co., Ind. Borth Bluford and Mary are buried in Mt Zion Cem., Warrick Co., Ind.
