Research Interest: Letitia Bourke was the foundress of the Dominican Sisters in New South Wales, the first group of Dominican Sisters to make a foundation in Australia. She left Ireland on 8th June, 1867 and sailed to Sydney on the "Martha Birnie". I am researching the early history of theS isters who came to Australia from Ireland.
