Research Interest: James Bond was born in 1779 at Kendal (1851 census) and moved to West Yorkshire to marry Ann Butterfield at Halifax in 1801. He was a Papermaker at the time (age 21). In 1816 he became an Independent Minister at Clayton West then the Minister at Marsden Congregational Church in 1824 - 1846, he retired and died 10 years later in Marsden aged 76 years. I am trying to establish his parents and baptism details. There is nothing on the IGI reference to his birth. If anyone 'out there' in the big world is researching the name Bond, please get in touch.
