Researching my husband's family background, trying to
find any info available beyond the marriage of Clara
Ellwood to Frank Blackford back in the late 1800's. Rumor
has it that the Blackfords are decendents of the Blackfoot/
Siksika Indians and any info to finally prove or disprove
that fact would be greatly appreciated. Using census
records at the library, I've not been able to find any
Blackfords prior to Frank who appears in the 1900 report
for Elizabeth, NJ, already married to Clara Ellwood.
