Research Interest: Writing from Emma has these dates Louisa Arbella Fifield Born 25-Mar-1854 Died 27-Sep-1876 22 years 6 months and 2 days old Loren Milo Bishop Born 4-Apr-1874 Died 18-June-1881 7 years 2 months and 12 days old The marriage licence states Louisa Ar bella Fifield age 18 Born and from Hastings, Barry Co., MI married Chancy L. Bishop, Farmer, age 22 of Irving, Barry Co., MI born in Ontario Co., NY dated 22-Jan-1872. Chancy may have died in the Black Plague Diptheria, Louisa did. May be listed as lu ng disease. Son was Loren Milo Bishop died 18-Jun-1883 of Diphtheria. His death record and thier marriage licence are the only proof of their life together except for my great Grandmother Emma Louise Bishop, the only known survivor. Emma was given to Mi nister Mr. Simmons of the Seven Day Advantist Church by her Father Chancy who told Emma he could no longer care for her. We believe Chancy may have suffered from the plague too. Emma was brought to Arkansas by Mr Simmons and family by covered wagon. It i s speculated that Emma may have been part of an Orphan Train. Emma always claimed to have been kidnapped. No death record for Chancy or Emma, No Birth records for all mentioned or other family names known. The Fifields wore clothes from the victorian o r quaker period.
