Research Interest: Looking for Ancestry of Otis Cooper Berry 22 Aug 1920(24) Foreman,AR d.17 Jul 1958 Saginaw MI; s/o Ola (?) May Cooper 12 Feb 1900 and Silvester or Charles Sylvester Berry d. before 1955. Ola May was once reportedly Cherokee and a teacher on a Cherokee reservation somewhere?? She was last known to be in DeKalb Tx (around 1958). Family was known to live in the Foreman Ark area, DeKalb TX area, and somewhere (?) on a reservation. I can find no documentation as yet of any residences, other than a comment on Otis's military papers that he went to school in Foreman. I have been looking mainly through Cherokee documents but have recently been informed by another family member that they thought the ancestry was Choctaw. Ola and Silvester reportedly had several children.
