I would like to find Frederick's parents and his whereabouts prior to his marriage in 1884. According to family lore, Frederick Benjes and his twin sister were born in the US, possibly in the Latin Quarter of Louisiana. His father was from Germany. Do
n't know either of the parents' names. Frederick's parents moved the family to Memphis, Tennasee when the children were babies. Both parents died from yellow fever. The children were orphaned. Frederick's sister was adopted by a family Wolf in St.
Louis, MO but he was not. Fred went to St. Louis to find his sister but her family would not permit a meeting. Fred married Anna Brockerme his wife in St. Louis. They married at St. Peter's church in Belleville IL on 24 Oct 1884. Their daughter Dora
was born in St. Louis on 7 August 1886. Fred and Anna moved to Chicago and had three other children, Freddie female Mary b. Jul 1988 and Charles born Dec 1899. Fred died in Chicago, on 24 April 1923 and he is burined in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Prior
to his death, Fred had abandoned his family and was living in chicago area as Fred Miller.
