Research Interest: I am currently searching for more details about my GGGfather, John Belcher. He was born in 1835 but I have't found where so far. His parents were Richard and Malenda. The whole family is listed in the 1840 and 1850 census rolls but not before. John e nded up in Missouri but the year is unknown to me so far. He married Mary Helen Yocum, again year unknown. They may have lived in Liberty Co. or the St. Joseph area. He joined the CSA and fought and died in the Battle of Pea Ridge in Arkansas. While he was away, Union soldiers attacked Mary Helen and she had a son she named Robert Smith. She was remarried to a man named Graham and they had children. If anyone has any info about any of these people in any of these areas, I would appreciate it. Al so, if anyone has any suggestions for me that would be great too. Thank you, Patricia Belcher Baessler RICHARD BELCHER, MALENDA BELCHER, JOHN BELCHER
