Research Interest: Hirl Oril Beets is my paternal grandfather. Neither my father or I ever met him. I can trace him from his birth in Miami County, Kansas born 1897 to California, where he married my Grandmother Georgia Marguerite Dashiell on October 13, 1915. The o nly other evidence I have of him is his selective service registration in 1917. After that, I cannot find anything. My grandparents divorced shortly after my father's birth in 1916, and rumor has it that he remarried and had a family possibly two sons , and died in Menlo Park, CA. But no one knows when.
