My name is John Bates, I live in Leeds in the U. K. However I am originally from St.Ives in cornwall and I am looking for any information on the above name and on the names of THOMAS, FREEMAN, LUGG, COUCH, PERKINS. My ancestor who started all of this is
Silas Thomas born in St. Ives in approximately 1695. however as evidenced by the number of Cornish and West country names in the U. S. A. a considerable number of people from this area emigrated there, I am hoping to be able to contact some "long-lost"
members of my family to be ab;e to expand the family tree that I have. I am willing to share information via gedcom files to enable others to expand there knowledge base on the family.
