Research Interest: My Great great grandmother wrote her memoirs in 1933 at the age of 80 . She states the French Huguenots fled France in 1549 and went to Holland. Christoffel and Catalyntze Bartoldi married in 1619. Oldest son Cryn baptised in 1620. Cryn's 6th child Gil liam born 1656. He came to America with his wife and 3 children in 1683 and came to Harlem. In 1709 he was the only Dutch preacher in NJ. His first child Hendrick married Marritze Ter Huyn in 1707. They were the first to settle in the North section of P ompton NJ. That's all I know until John Jay Bartholf who married Katherine in 1870.BIG GAP
