William F. Barker was married to Elsa A. Pennington. They had two daughters Vera Lucille and Ruth Lee. William remarried after Elsa's death in 1908. He had three more children , James, and Pauline. William was on the school board in Durant, OK. After
a teacher was fired, her angry brother murdered William.
