George Perkins ARTHUR the elder was born in Mississippi, I have no dates for any of his events. He married Rebecca ROGERS. She was born 11 Feb or Apr 1832, also in Mississippi. They raised their family in Midland Co., Texas. George died in battle during
the Civil War. Not sure of his regiment or even which state he enlisted under. Rebecca died 15 Jan 1920-Midland Co., Texas. Her parents were born in Georgia, according to census records. I have record of only one child born to them. He was a son, named
after his father. He was born Jan 1865 in Texas.
