Research Interest: Adison Anthony appeared on the 1850 census of Ouachita Co., Arkansas indicating birth in Virginia about 1829. In 1851 he married Esther Mason step-daughter of Elkanah Sullivent. Adison was boarding at the home of Sullivent. Sullivent was a Primitive Bapt ist minister as well as a farmer. It is not known who Adison's parents were or where in Virginia he came from. There is no civil war record on Adison. He died in 1879 leaving his widow with three children Andrew Jackson, Julius Roberson, and Martha. John Franklin the oldest had his own family and William Nathaniel rode off on his horse one day and never returned.
