Research Interest: Seeking information on the family of John Trowbridge Ames, especially his parents, John & Susan Ames, and any siblings. I have information that he was born 18 Oct, 1819 in Leominster, MA, but I have no PROOF. His family lived in Erie Co., NY in 1821; then Walworth Co., WI; MO; KY; CA; WI; and finally IA. He married Mary Jane Reed, dau. of Charles & Isabella Reed, 5 July 1854.
