Research Interest: I am working on the genealogy of several Cocke and Jefferson County, Tennessee families and am trying to find descendants of the following individuals 1. Hollis/Hallace Allen, b. 18 Dec 1918, Dandridge, Tennessee worked for about 44 years in the coal min es of Wise County, Virginia died 10 May 1987 in Kingsport, Tennessee. Parents were Lloyd and Evaline Branner/Bragg Allen. Hollis Allen is my father. 2. Lloyd Allen b. 11 Nov 1890, Jefferson County, Tennessee died 22 Feb 1985 in Newport, Tennessee marri ed to Evaline Branner/Bragg. Parents were Franklin and Julia Dunwoody. According to a local obituary relatives of Lloyd Allen were Florence Bennett, Jerome Bennett, Clarence Allen, James Franklin Allen, Eugene Ray Allen, Dixie Chandler, Clara Faye Olden, Sally Cross. 3. Franklin Allen b. Jul 1867, Jefferson County, Tennessee married to Julia Dunwoody b. Mar 1871 d. 15 Mar 1912. Parents were David and Mary Allen. 4. David Allen b. about 1846 married to Mary, Polly, Sarah, and one unknown wife. Mother' s name was possibly Mariah. 5. Mariah b. about 1817
