William was born on 5 June 1857 in Cupar, Fife in Scotland. He married Christina Balfour Hair on 28 June 1895 in Glasgow. Sometime around the early 1900's the family moved to London and we have been unable to obtain any further information on William, e
.g. his death. His wife, Christina died in Glasgow in 1932, but this was several years after William died. His son last saw him in 1914 and, we believe, that by the time he returned from the 1st WW, William had died.
